Nokia to Build New Mobile Phone Plant in Vietnam

Nokia plans to invest US$300 million in building a new plant in Vietnam, according to an April 16, 2012 report by BaoMoi, a Vietnamese news organization. It is estimated that the new plant will hire approximately 10,000 employees. It is reported that Nokia aims to improve its products' time to market by shifting device assembly to Asia. The new plant in Vietnam is projected to manufacture around 45 million units of mobile phones per year by 2014.
